The Eclectically Respecting Biscuit

Will the children be as tired as they were last night? We came home after the first day of tennis camp and they almost felt asleep on the couch in front of the television. At five o’clock I don’t want them to do a powernap because it is too close before their bedtime. I did my upper best to keep them awake and at the end I gave them some food earlier as usual. Of course they were telling me that they were not tired at all. Meanwhile I suggested taking a bath but because they were so tired they did not want to do anything. Finally after a nice bath it was bedtime and 2 minutes later they were in sleepy wonderland. Sleeping children look so precious.

Again a nice conversation with a friend of ours. He works at an electronics firm and they had to deliver a custom designed lcd screen that is capable of being demolished. Really, they did tests with it where they dropped a metal ball of 10 kilogram from a height of 2 meters on the screen! They found it stayed in one piece as long as the ball hit the screen in the middle of the screen, so it wasn’t really good. Apparently hooligans and other weird people do not always smash objects in the middle, so they still had work to do.

All our family lives in The Netherlands and they do like to visit us. This week it will be time to make the guestroom ready again. Sometimes we are running out of things to do with visitors but not this time. We decided to go away for the weekend and take our guests with us. We are going to Estland by boat during nighttime. In the morning we will be in Tallinn where we will be sightseeing the city and doing some shopping of course. In the evening we will be going on the boat back home again. We have done this before in the winter but I love to see Tallinn in the summer. Now I’m hoping for some nice weather and that my family will enjoy this trip.

Isn’t it great? I no longer depend on what’s on TV or what DVD I still have in my cupboard, but thanks to a new video on demand service I subscribed to I can now watch virtually any movie at any time I want, without having to go to the rental shop or having to borrow it from my friends!
It’s really cool and I made quite some use of it already. The movies I always wanted to see, but never took the time for to go to I now watched at home at a time that I picked myself. I’m quite happy with it and I’m sure I’m going to use it all the time.
